Buckhead
Condos |
Buckhead
is located within the city of Atlanta, Georgia, and is legally defined as
that portion of the city of Atlanta northeast of Interstate 75 and northwest
of Interstate 85 . (The boundaries are the city limits on the north, northeast,
and northwest, and the interstate highways on the southeast and southwest).
Buckhead's name was derived from Henry Irby's general store and tavern,
which was founded in 1837. It was located at what is now the northwest corner
of West Paces Ferry Road and Roswell Road. It was Irby, according to his descendant,
who killed a large deer and mounted the "buck head" where travelers
could see it. The name Buckhead proved durable, and a campaign in the late
19th century to rename the area Northside Park was unsuccessful.
Buckhead is considered the shopping mecca of the Southeast, with
over 1,400 retail units and in excess of $1 billion a year in sales. The Robb
Report rated Buckhead one of the USA's 10 "Top Affluent Communities"
for "some of the most beautiful mansions, best shopping and finest restaurants
(including the renowned Buckhead Life Restaurant Group in
the southeastern United States." Buckhead is also considered one of Atlanta's
most attractive business areas, where prosperity, affluence and entertainment
blend together harmoniously.
Buckhead is one of the "nation's best subcities,"
according to a report on America's top cities. "Emerging Trends in Real
Estate" compared the area's residential-commercial mix and 24-hour flavor
to San Francisco, New York and Boston.
"Despite the highest real estate costs in metro
Atlanta, businesses are so bewitched by Buckhead that the vacancy rates are
the lowest in the region."

Midtown
Condos |
Centered
basically between Atlanta's downtown to the South and the commercial and residential
district of Buckhead to the North, you will find the unique, thriving district
of Midtown Atlanta.
Technically, as it is always a topic for discussion, Midtown can be considered
to be bounded roughly by the future Beltline just east of Monroe Drive on
the east, I-85 and I-75 to the north, Northside Drive on the west and Ralph
McGill Blvd on the south.
Midtown is home to the tallest building in the City (Bank of America Plaza)
and does contain approximately one-third of the city's high rise buildings.
Of course, the famous "Peachtree Street" is one of Midtown's busiest
thoroughfares which includes an ever growing number of high rise condos, multicultural
flavor in its great variety of restaurants, magnificent office space, busy
shopping areas, bed and breakfast inns, cultural activities and Midtown's
own signature Restaurant Row district with ever so popular nightclubs and
upscale gathering places.
One of the main focal points of Midtown Atlanta is Piedmont Park. Atlanta's
beautiful Botanical Garden adjoins the park, adding even more enjoyment to
this oasis in the city.
Midtown Atlanta is currently a fast-growing community with appreciating land
and property values in this urban area. Midtown Atlanta offers a mix of attractions
and amenities, as well as proximity to downtown offices and destinations for
those lucky enough to discover this area.
